About Me

In 1993 I graduated from Arizona State University when I began my teaching career in a 2nd grade classroom in Tempe. Soon, I moved to Washington State and taught in Edmonds for over 10 years. While there, I completed my Master of Education with a specialty in Multicultural/Diversity Education from UW. Then, I had a 4-year stint in Stillwater, Oklahoma teaching 5th grade. It was a great experience as I was able to obtain my National Board Teaching Certification in 2008. Brown International, here in Denver, was my home in DPS for the last several years.

I feel the experiences and training I have had in the last 30 years, have given me the skill set to work with all types of students and families. No matter what the background, ability level, or social-emotional issues, you may have, I will use my expertise to do my very best for you.  I hope to provide a caring, safe, and positive environment in which to help make the most out of school life for you and your child.

I have a love of learning that goes beyond teaching students and enjoy time learning Spanish, reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my wife and two pups!

Thank you and please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information.
